The publication journey in FRJ (Financial Research Journal) involves manuscript preparation, rigorous peer review, and final production, all in strict accordance with the journal’s ethical standards and formatting requirements.
Before submission, authors must carefully prepare their manuscript and ensure compliance with all journal guidelines.
• Anonymity Check: The main manuscript file, figures, and any supplementary materials must be fully anonymized to support the double-blind peer-review process.
• Permissions: Written permission must be obtained for any previously published figures, tables, or copyrighted material used in the manuscript (both print and online rights).
• Submission Declaration: By submitting, authors confirm that the work is original, has not been published elsewhere (except permitted forms such as preprints or theses), is not under consideration in another journal, and is approved by all co-authors.
• ORCID: Authors are strongly encouraged to register and include their ORCID identifier (https://orcid.org).
All manuscripts must be submitted via the journal’s official online submission system by the corresponding author.

• Reviewer Suggestions and Exclusions: Authors may suggest potential reviewers or request exclusion of up to two individuals. Submitted manuscripts undergo initial screening followed by peer review.
• Initial Editorial Screening: Editors assess scope, quality, and compliance with ethical and formatting standards. This stage typically takes around 10 days. Manuscripts that do not meet basic requirements may be rejected without external review.
• Peer Review: Suitable manuscripts are evaluated by at least two independent external reviewers under a double-blind peer-review system. The average review period is approximately 8 weeks.
• Editorial Decision: Final decisions are made by the editor based on reviewer feedback and editorial judgment. FRJ maintains a selective acceptance rate of approximately 20%. Possible decisions include:

When revisions are requested, authors must respond to all reviewer and editorial comments in a thorough and systematic manner. Major revisions may require significant time before resubmission.
Authors may submit a formal appeal against editorial decisions, particularly rejection. Generally, only one appeal per manuscript is considered, and the final decision is binding. Appeals are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief or handling editor, who may uphold the decision or seek additional independent review.
Complaints regarding procedural delays or ethical concerns are handled according to COPE guidelines (https://publicationethics.org) and are investigated objectively.
If a manuscript is rejected but considered suitable for another journal, the editor may recommend transfer to an alternative publication venue. With author consent, the manuscript and reviewer reports may be transferred directly.
After acceptance, the manuscript enters production. The corresponding author receives page proofs for review and must return corrections promptly (typically within a few working days). Proofing is limited to correcting typographical or formatting issues; substantial content changes require editorial approval.
Authors retain full copyright and publishing rights. Published articles are distributed under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/deed.en), allowing non-commercial use with proper attribution to the author and journal.
FRJ is a fully open-access (Diamond) journal and does not charge any article processing or publication fees.
Final versions are published online immediately after completion of production. Published articles are freely accessible and may be shared using the official DOI link.
