Authors preparing manuscripts for the Financial Research Journal (FRJ) are required to carefully follow the instructions below to ensure an efficient, timely, and smooth peer-review process.
FRJ publishes Original Research Articles and Review Articles.
• Length: Manuscripts should generally not exceed 10,000 words, including references, tables, and figure text. Approximately 750 words should be allocated per table or figure when estimating length.
• Language: The primary language of the journal is Persian; however, an extended English abstract and English references are required.
• File Format: Manuscripts must be submitted in an editable format, preferably Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx), using a single-column layout. PDF files alone are not accepted as primary submissions.
• Language Quality: Authors are strongly advised to proofread their manuscripts for spelling and grammar prior to submission. For the extended English abstract, AI tools may be used for assistance; however, the final version must be carefully reviewed by a qualified human expert.
• Anonymity: As FRJ operates under a double-blind peer-review system, the main manuscript file must be fully anonymized. Author names, affiliations, and any identifying acknowledgements must be removed. When citing previous work, authors should use neutral phrasing such as “previous studies have shown…” rather than personal references. The Word file should also be cleaned of hidden metadata.

• Full names of all authors in the intended order of publication
• Complete affiliations
• Corresponding author details (email and phone number)
• ORCID ID
• Funding information

The abstract should be a minimum of 450 words and a maximum of 750 words and must clearly state the research purpose, methodology, key findings, and conclusions.

The abstract must be self-contained and should not include citations or undefined abbreviations.
• Keywords: Provide 4–6 keywords for indexing and SEO purposes.
• Highlights (optional): 3–5 bullet points, each up to 85 characters, summarizing key contributions.

• Literature Review (analytical rather than descriptive)

• Discussion and Conclusion (including limitations and implications)
Tables must be editable (not image-based), numbered consecutively, and follow APA table style.
Figures must be submitted as separate high-resolution files (minimum 300 dpi for halftones; higher for line drawings).
APA style guidelines should be followed for tables and figures.
Images must accurately reflect the underlying data; manipulations that distort results are strictly prohibited.
The use of AI to generate or modify figures is not permitted unless AI is an explicit part of the research design, in which case it must be fully described in the methodology. AI-generated artwork, cover images, or graphical abstracts are not allowed.
• FRJ requires APA style referencing.
• In-text citations must follow author-date format.
• Reference lists must include only cited works and must be fully consistent with in-text citations.
• DOIs should be included whenever available.
• Reference management software (e.g., EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero) is strongly recommended.
• Data sources and datasets must also be properly cited where applicable.
Persian references should also be written in English translation.
In-text references with foreign names should be written in Persian in the main text and in English in the footnotes.
• Supplementary materials (e.g., datasets, videos, appendices, extended methods) should be submitted alongside the manuscript.
• They will be published online-only and not edited by the journal.
• All supplementary files must be cited in the main text.
• A Data Availability Statement is required for all original research articles.
• Authors are encouraged to deposit data in public repositories and provide persistent identifiers (DOIs) for datasets when available.
