Copyright Policy
Copyright policies define the rights retained by authors and the permissions granted to the publisher and the public. The Financial Research Journal (FRJ) is committed to protecting authors’ intellectual property rights while promoting the broad dissemination and responsible use of scholarly research.
Author Copyright Retention
Authors retain full and unrestricted copyright ownership and publishing rights for all works published in FRJ. Unlike traditional publishing models that require the transfer of copyright to the publisher, FRJ enables authors to maintain ownership of their scholarly contributions.
Licensing for Use
All articles published in FRJ are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. This license permits users to copy, distribute, share, and adapt the published work for non-commercial purposes, provided that appropriate acknowledgment is given to the original author(s) and the journal.
Permissions for Third-Party Material
If a manuscript contains material previously published elsewhere or owned by third parties, including figures, tables, illustrations, photographs, datasets, or extended text excerpts, authors must obtain written permission from the copyright holder(s) prior to submission. Such permissions must cover both print and electronic publication formats.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that the following rights have been secured:
• Non-exclusive rights to reproduce the material within the submitted article.
• Rights for both print and electronic publication.
• Worldwide rights for publication and distribution.
• The right to use the material for the full duration of the published work without time limitations.
Attribution and Credit
Authors must provide appropriate acknowledgment for all third-party content included in their manuscripts. When an Open Access article contains material that is not covered by the article’s Creative Commons license, a clear credit line must be included specifying the original source, copyright holder, and any restrictions on reuse. Such material remains subject to the copyright conditions established by its respective rights holder.
Consequences of Failure to Obtain Permission
Any third-party material submitted without adequate documentation of permission will be assumed to be the responsibility of the author(s). Failure to obtain the necessary permissions for copyrighted content may result in delays during the editorial and publication process, requests for content removal or replacement, or, where necessary, rejection of the manuscript.
