Methods: The statistical population of this research includes all the companies accepted in Tehran Stock Exchange and its statistical sample includes the data of 142 companies for the period of 8 years from 2009 to 2016.  Systematic method of elimination was used for sampling. The method used to estimate the pattern was multi-variable regression model based on the combination method. Results: Results showed that, overconfident managers can lead to increasing stock return and unsystematic risk of companies. Other results showed that if the manager is overconfident and also is a member of Board of Directors, it has a significantly positive effect on the returns, yet a significantly negative impact on the company's unsystematic risk. Conclusion: Most self-assured managers are beginning to invest more, they are also thinking of more development and innovation, which brings more values to their company, so the company's returns are rising. Also, a moderately self-confident manager is bold enough to always make cash and securities available for sale as low as possible and maximize the level of short-term loans. So, these factors may increase the risk of the company. In the event that the over-confident CEO is also a member of the board, his understanding of the market and the demands of the shareholders and the financial reporting process will be enhanced and will enjoy higher power and control, and thus the company's returns will increase and the company will face less risk.}, keywords = {Overconfident,Duality of Duty,Stock Return,Unsystematic Risk,Managing Director}, title_fa = {بررسی تأثیر اعتماد به نفس بیش از حد مدیر عامل بر بازده و ریسک غیرسیستماتیک سهام با توجه به نقش دوگانگی وظیفه مدیر عامل: شواهدی از بورس اوراق بهادار تهران}, abstract_fa = {هدف: هدف این مقاله بررسی تأثیر اعتماد به نفس بیش از حد مدیر عامل بر بازده و ریسک غیر‌سیستماتیک سهام با توجه به نقش دوگانگی وظیفه مدیر عامل در بورس اوراق بهادار تهران است. روش: جامعه آماری این پژوهش شرکت‌‌های پذیرفته‌شده در بورس اوراق بهادار تهران و نمونه آماری آن شامل داده‌های 142 شرکت طی دوره هشت‌ساله 1395-1388 است. روش نمونه‌گیری، حذف سیستماتیک بوده و روش مورد استفاده برای برآورد الگو، روش رگرسیون چندمتغیره به روش داده‌های ترکیبی است. یافته‎ها: نتایج نشان داد مدیران بیش‌اعتماد هم باعث افزایش بازده سهام می‎شوند و هم ریسک بیشتری تقبل می‎کنند. نتایج دیگر نشان داد اگر مدیر عامل هم بیش‌اعتماد بوده و هم عضو هیئت مدیره باشد، تأثیر معنادار مثبتی بر بازده و تأثیر معنادار منفی بر ریسک غیر‌سیستماتیک شرکت دارد. نتیجه‎گیری: اغلب مدیران دارای اعتماد به نفس شروع به سرمایه‌گذاری بیشتری می‌کنند. همچنین به فکر توسعه و گسترش و نوآوری‌های بیشتر هستند که این عوامل موجب می‌شود شرکت آنها ارزش بیشتری کسب کند، بنابراین بازده شرکت افزایش می‌یابد. همچنین مدیری که اعتماد به نفس بیش از حدی دارد و جسورانه عمل می‌کند، همواره می‌کوشد تا وجوه نقد و اوراق بهادار قابل فروش را به حداقل ممکن رسانده و سطح وام‌هـای کوتـاه‎مـدت را بـه حداکثر برساند، بنابراین این عوامل موجب افزایش ریسک شرکت خواهد شد. در شرایطی که مدیر عامل بیش‌اطمینان، عضو هیئت مدیره نیز باشد، درک وی از بازار و خواسته‌های سهام‌داران و فرایند گزارشگری مالی افزایش یافته و از قدرت و نظارت و نظرهای بالاتری برخوردار خواهد بود، در نتیجه بازده شرکت افزایش می‌یابد و شرکت ریسک کمتری را متحمل خواهد شد.}, keywords_fa = {Overconfident,Duality of Duty,Stock Return,Unsystematic Risk,Managing Director}, url = {https://jfr.ut.ac.ir/article_71565.html}, eprint = {https://jfr.ut.ac.ir/article_71565_2f96aa6e09e9bd61433e06931fa1b758.pdf} }
